18 races validated in Silvaplana

The third day of the iQFOiL Youth & Junior World Championship in Silvaplana was a total success, due to the wind blowing more than yesterday, the race committee decided to launch Course Races. We did a total of 18 races today!

The U19s were the first sent to the water and 3 races were done for each group. The wind conditions were perfect for course racing and we got a lot of action in the water. In the U19 men category, Charlie Dixon (GBR 724) went down to second place overall as the Italian Manolo Modena (ITA27) won all the races of today. In third place we have Hidde Van Der Meer (NED 352), 7-points behind the second place.In the U19 women category we have a tie between Tamar Steinberg (ISR 16) and Barbora Svikova (CZE 98) for the first place. After the tie break, Tamar stays at the lead and we´ll see how it goes in the following days. Only 4-points behind comes Kristina Pinosova (CZE 289) in third place.

The U17s went into the water at 16:20, after the U19s were done, also accomplishing to do 3 races for boys and girls. In the U17 boys, the first places were very tight between each other. The French Tom Nicolle (FRA 55) remains on the lead, Noé Garandeau (FRA 38) is on 2nd only 1 point behind and in thrird, Polish boy, Igor Lewinsky (POL 30), only 1-point behind Noé. In the U17 women´s fleet, the top 3 places are U15 girls. On the lead is Ada Turn (TUR 4108), who managed to keep her first place, but now only 1-point ahead of the Hungarian girl Simon Hanna (HUN 70) who had a fantastic day. In third place we have Maria Rudowicz (POL 71), also U15. For the U15 men´s fleet, the Turkish boy Artun Senol (TUR 2008) took the first place and had an amazing performance even between the U17s, finishing 7th in the general list. The second place was for Gustaw Zbigniew Trybek (POL 2115) and the third place for Kylian Manhaval (FRA 1908).
