The 2nd event of the season on the PWA IWT Wave Tour, the Surazo Infernal Chile World Cup in Matanzas, Chile, sees the men's and women's Pro tables get underway on Thursday, with a great show in store!

After the juniors at the start of the week and the Challengers table on Wednesday, the serious business begins this Thursday in Matanzas, Chile, at the Surazo Infernal Chile World Cup, the 2nd event of the PWA IWT Wave Tour season. In the Challengers finals, Argentina's Dominica Osman dominates the women's competition with an aggressive surfing style and a good selection of waves. In the men's competition, Vicente Gonzalez stole the show, displaying exceptional wave control. Israeli Tomer Shamgar took 2nd place with a perfectly executed aerial in the final seconds of the heat.

The 1st round of the Pro men's draw got underway straight away, and Marcilio Browne, the reigning world champion, was surprised by the tenacity of Camille Juban, who came out on top, leaving the Brazilian in 2nd place. The French shone throughout the day, with Jules Denel and Thomas Traversa dominating their respective heats, as did Antoine Martin. Julian Salmonn stood out with a series of impeccable aerials, earning him the best score of the day and 1st place in his heat ahead of Bernd Roediger.
In the women's category, Justyna Sniady, Sarah Hauser, Lina Erpenstein and Jane Seman all booked their tickets for the next round, but it was the young Spanish rider Alexia Quintana who created the sensation of the day. With her speed and agility on the waves, she impressed the judges and took the best score of the day!
