After Bonaire, the world's best freestylers gathered in Podersdorf, Austria from 28 April to 1 May for a new event of the Freestyle Pro Tour. Lennart Neubauer confirmed his good form and won a stage of the Freestyle circuit for the first time!
After a first day on Friday, where the simple elimination ended with a final to come between Jacopo Testa and Lennart Neubauer, and a Saturday with light winds, Sunday 30th April will see the start of this edition of the Freestyle Pro Tour.
There was no sleeping in on this Sunday, as the competitors were called up at 6am for the last race of the weekend. In great form, Lennart Neubauer won the single elimination. The wind was predicted to be light, but it was there and allowed the double elimination to continue, which saw the return of Belgian Yentel Caers, who ended up in 5th place, just behind Frenchman Sam Esteve.
Steven Van Broeckhoven reached the final and challenged Lennart Neubauer, who offered a new festival in terms of manoeuvres and efficiency, and the young Greek proved to be simply unbeatable.
With this victory, Lennart Neubauer won his first event on the Freestyle Pro Tour. He is a force to be reckoned with and the question now is how he will perform at the first PWA Freestyle event of the season, with many seeing him as a potential World Champion in this discipline...
