With the wind picking up, the Défi Wind SuperStars 2023 by LAST got off to a flying start on Monday 30 October in Saint-Tropez with 2 races completed. The most consistent sailors, Nicolas Goyard and his brother Thomas are leading the way ahead of Alexis Mathis.

After Sunday's light winds, the Défi Wind SuperStars 2023 Challenge by LAST gets underway this Monday with ideal conditions and around fifteen knots of south/easterly breeze. The first race of the day saw the win of Nicolas Goyard, relegating his brother Thomas and Alexandre Cousin to 2nd and 3rd place.
The 2nd race of the day saw Thomas Goyard in stronger winds, averaging 20 knots and gusting to 25 knots. Alexis Mathis and Nicolas Goyard rounded off the podium in what was an extremely sporting round, with competitors covering a total of 40km.

In the provisional overall rankings, Thomas and Nicolas Goyard are in the lead, closely followed by Alexis Mathis. Pierre Mortefon and Rytis Jasiunas complete the top 5, forming a group of competitors to keep a close eye on over the coming races. In the women's race, it was Marion Mortefon who took the lead, ahead of Sara Wennekes and Hélène Noesmoen.
With particularly windy conditions forecast for Wednesday, the Défi Wind SuperStars 2023 by LAST Challenge promises to be a fiercely competitive event, with the rankings still open to change.
