The return of the HiFly brand!

The glory days of windsurfing and the unique spirit of the sport are inseparably linked with HiFly. Now, the cult brand celebrates its comeback as the official fashion partner of the Mercedes Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt.

Anyone who stood on a surfboard in the 80s and 90s will remember the cult brand vividly: HiFly! In addition to unique innovative power and countless sporting successes, HiFly stands unbroken for the spirit of the age in the dawning days of surfing when the fan base celebrated the newfound free attitude to life. Five decades later HiFly is still the symbol for an independent and sportive lifestyle.
The Heydays of yesteryear have left their mark on surfing forever: With the HiFly 555 on the roof and always on the move to the next sporting adventure, surfers formed a rapidly growing community in the 1980s. Surfing became a religion back then, the Surf Magazine was the "bible" and regatta results were more important than lottery numbers. HiFly topped the rankings with its revolutionary epoxy raceboards and celebrated three World Cup victories. The posters of the stars decorated countless rooms and hobby cellars during the "Glory Days of Windsurfing“. On the board with the best: HiFly moves into the spotlight on the "Centre Court" of Germany’s island queen Sylt.

Now the HiFly brand celebrates its comeback on one of the world’s most famous surf stages: The cult brand is the exclusive fashion partner of the traditional Mercedes Benz Windsurf World Cup Sylt! When the windsurfing world elite competes for the world championship titles in Westerland’s magic surf and in front of a large audience from September 23rd to October 3rd, HiFly will move back to the spotlight. The entire event organization team and the PWA team will be equipped by the cult brand. HiFly enters the hot surf autumn with a new collection in retro look in the characterful German north. The cult brand, with which whole generations of surfers associate extraordinary times and their own attitude towards life, shows its first new fashion lifestyle collection in Sylt’s surfer paradise. In doing so, the retro look of the striking HiFly logo now also attracts the younger surf generation and their fans, who identify with the stars and the scene through their desire for the same casual, yet distinctive look.

The HiFly brand statement hits the nerve of the "Next Generation". The name is the program: Riding high! The common goals are unforgettable highs where great freedom awaits and the spirit of the first surfer generation merges with the new attitude to life of the 20+ generation. The first collection will be offered as a limited edition on Sylt in a pop-up store on the event grounds of the Mercedes Benz World Cup Sylt. The HiFly World Cup Edition includes high-quality hoodies, sherpas, T-shirts and beanies, as well as its own tote bags and sunglasses. The concept "From the water to the beach and into the city" transports the brand character beyond its origins into daily life. The styles are just as casual to wear for the younger generation as they are for those who have grown up with HiFly.
As a brand that has its origins in water sports, the sustainable and responsible use of resources is a matter of course for HiFly. The textile products are produced sustainably and are GOTS certified.
