Slalom X, the best of 2025

09/03/2026

With you, we continue

The PWA World Tour has just released a new recap video dedicated to the 2025 Slalom X season. Following the success of an initial montage released earlier this year (see our article dated 12 January 2026), the world circuit has this time chosen to highlight five particularly memorable rounds contested between Fuerteventura and Tenerife. This is an opportunity to revisit some of the highlights of an intense season.
The competition got off to a strong start in Fuerteventura with a closely contested first race. Pierre Mortefon, reigning world champion in 2024, immediately took the lead. But victory ultimately went to Maciek Rutkowski, who made a particularly effective inside jibe at the buoy to win this highly competitive race.
In the women's competition, the 2025 season was dominated by Sarah Offringa. ARU-91 performed extremely consistently throughout the year, racking up victories and securing another world title. Behind her, the battle for the remaining podium places continued until the final races, keeping the overall standings exciting right up to the end.
Another highlight of the video is the full fleet race
, a spectacular format in which all competitors start from a single line. This type of race features very close starts and sometimes chaotic situations, but above all it offers an impressive display of speed and strategy. The video concludes in Tenerife with an important moment for Germany's Nico Prien, who finally clinches his first victory on the circuit after several podium finishes and honourable placings.
This montage allows us to relive some of the most memorable races of the 2025 season and reminds us just how spectacular windsurf slalom can be when the wind and the riders are at their best.
