Sam Esteve wins in Geneva

15/10/2025

The Freestyle Pro Tour stopped off in Geneva, Switzerland, from 8 to 12 October for a 2025 edition marked by patience, creativity and a high-flying finale. Despite unpredictable conditions, the world's best freestylers transformed Lake Geneva into a veritable stage for their show.

The first few days put the riders' nerves to the test. The wind, eagerly awaited for the foilstyle event, is slow to arrive, forcing several successive postponements. But the atmosphere remains relaxed, with training sessions, pumpfoil trials and improvised shows. As soon as the weather no longer allows for official competition, tow-in, a discipline in which riders are pulled by a boat, takes over, guaranteeing a spectacular show.
The super sessions and qualifiers offer their share of spectacular performances. Yentel Caers, true to his reputation, impresses from the very first runs with his triple rotations, while Lennart Neubauer and Leander Halm confirm their technical precision. Young talents such as Bodhi Kempen and Nascimo Fournier also make an impression with their commitment and creativity.
The final day lived up to all expectations with an explosive final featuring six of the world's best. Under a blazing sun, Sam Esteve dominated the competition with a perfect combination of power and style, beating Neubauer and Caers. The Frenchman took the victory in Geneva, while Neubauer retained his Freestyle Pro Tour tow-in title for the second year in a row.
Although the wind prevented a foilstyle champion from being crowned this season, the Geneva event confirmed the vitality and creativity of modern freestyle. Next stop: Naxos, where the season will conclude with what promises to be a spectacular battle.
