Paola Albeau Green s tribute

On 9 November, Antoine Albeau announced the end of his international career on the PWA World Tour after 30 years of outstanding performance. And because behind every great man is a woman, the honours go to Paola Albeau Green, his wife and 1st supporter in life, with a beautiful message published recently on her Instagram account.

"Today you walk out the FRONT DOOR, as the best of all time! The living legend… All that is known! What is not so well known is everything that is inside my heart today while infinite tears of joy fall through my eyes, while I celebrate in the distance but giving you a loud standing ovation from the living room of our house wishing you can hear it in that beach in Japan! I would like to be there by your side as always, but someone had to do the dirty job of taking care of our wonderful children !
Almost 10 years have passed since that day in Maui when we first meet, and I still wonder how someone so out of the ordinary fell in love and embarked on this life with a girl who even doesn't like getting her hair wet with salt water? All this is very strange! Lucky me!! And while I keep crying I keep applauding you because I know you still have a way to go because you live windsurfing, eat windsurfing, sleep windsurfing, all windsurfing! You keep going love, I'm happy to dust off your trophies every time I tidy up the house!
I will miss The PWA World Tour too, because it is also part of my life.
Once again, bravo mi amor, you are the tireless engine of my life and that of our two little ones.
Antoine Albeau 25 times World Champion in all categories of windsurfing (almost waves) French athlete with more world titles in all time AND the love of my life!
God bless you Antoine Albeau
Did someone say champagne?"
