Lemeteyer and Søe still in the lead

16/11/2025

On the fourth day of the Fly! ANA Yokosuka, Miura Windsurf World Cup, conditions varied between 6 and 10 knots, forcing competitors to bring out their largest equipment. Justine Lemeteyer and Johan Søe dominated the event, posting perfect scores after two races and moving closer and closer to overall victory and the world title for the Frenchwoman.

In the women's competition, Justine Lemeteyer consolidated her position by winning the second elimination round and reaching the winners' final of the third elimination round, where she once again demonstrated her mastery. With Lina Erzen eliminated prematurely in the semi-finals, the Frenchwoman seems to have one foot and a half on the title. If Lemeteyer wins the next elimination round, she could open up an 11.9-point lead that would be difficult for her rivals to catch up. Erzen, meanwhile, won the losers' final, but with a total of nine points, her deficit in the title race is growing.

In the men's competition, Johan Søe continues his impressive winning streak, remaining undefeated with a perfect record of 1.4 points. Pierre Mortefon, in second place, remains in contention, while Matteo Iachino, also qualified for the final of elimination 3, is in a favourable position to aim for a third world title. The duel between Iachino and Mortefon is shaping up, with the Italian holding a narrow lead going into the final day of racing.
The last day of competition promises to be intense with stronger winds forecast, ranging from 17 to 24 knots. Anything can still happen on the final day!
