George Grisley in the waves of Vietnam

With you, we continue

While many windsurfers decide to head to South Africa at this time of year, George Grisley has chosen a different option, setting his sights on Vietnam.
Located in My Hoa, Phan Rang, Vietnam Surf Camp opened its doors in 2017 and the reputation of this destination continues to grow. And with good reason, as the region is mainly known for its constant winds from October to mid-April, making it the ideal place for water sports.
George Grisley, a Briton we are becoming familiar with in the columns of Windsurfjournal.com, documents his adventures in Vietnam and takes on a new challenge: applying his freestyle skills to the waves on an outer reef at My Hoa.
The video shows behind the scenes of this experience: the difficulty of setting up the equipment on the reef at low tide, the effort of cameraman Marteen Molenaar, who has to walk far out onto the sharp coral reefs to film from a tower, and the power of the wind. The Vietnamese spot offers perfect waves and few people in the water, a rare luxury for any windsurfer. And this hybrid experience between freestyle and wave riding illustrates the British rider's versatility!
