Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge, the winners

With you, we continue

The image of the day is the 2025 season of the Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge Virtual Global Tour, which has just come to an end. Created around ten years ago as part of the Défi Wind, the Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge concept has gradually established itself as the biggest digital speed competition, bringing together an increasingly active global community.
Based on ultra-precise GPS tracking, in partnership with the leading platform GPS-Speedsurfing.com, the challenge allows riders to compare their performances on an international scale, drawing on more than twenty years of archives and reliable data. It has become an essential tool for measuring progress and ranking among the best.
In sporting terms, the 2025 season was marked by the impressive consistency of Vincent Valkenaers, who was crowned champion in all categories after finishing on the podium in all three periods. In the women's competition, Heidi Ulrich dominated with two wins and a second place, asserting her control throughout the year. The average speeds recorded in 2025 reflect an ever-higher level and an overall increase in speed in windsurfing. The date has already been set for 2026, with three new competition periods planned between April and November.
