Japan was once again thrilled to the rhythm of the Fly! ANA Yokosuka, Miura Windsurf World Cup. Although the event did not offer as many heats as last year, the beach at Tsukuihama was nevertheless the scene of some great racing on the second and third days of competition. After four eliminations in the men's and women's events, the curtain came down on an intense season, with Justine Lemeteyer and Pierre Mortefon crowned Foil Slalom World Champions, while Marion Mortefon and Johan Søe won this final stage of the circuit.

Pierre Mortefon rounded off a perfect season with his second world title of the year, having already been crowned champion in Slalom X. In Yokosuka, he showed exemplary consistency, with a podium finish in every race, securing second place on this stage. The young Danish prodigy Johan Søe, after making a mistake in the first elimination, went on to win three races in a row to claim victory in Japan. His performances augur well for the future.
