Brendan Lorho wins at Cervantes

10/01/2024

A classic event in the Australian calendar, the Tribal Cervantes Windsurf Challenge took place from 5 to 7 January. On the programme was an event that opens the hostilities for the 2024 season, and this year's competition saw young Frenchman Brendan Lorho win after 4 valid slalom races!
Every year at the beginning of the year, the Australians and the lucky ones who are there at the same time meet up in Cervantes, Western Australia, for the Tribal Cervantes Windsurf Challenge, a friendly event comprising 2 disciplines: a GPS contest and a long-distance slalom with a long downwind course.
After 4 races in the main discipline, the slalom, contested on Saturday, France's Brendan Lorho made no bones about it, with 3 wins and a 2nd place finish to take this prestigious event. He finished ahead of local Rowen Low and Korean Ohhan Kwon on the podium, while Chris Lockwood, one of the favourites, had to make do with 4th place this year.
Thanks to the Reflex Films team, we can now take a look back at this event, which was dominated by fin slalom, and which took place on a simply heavenly spot in Cervantes!
